Shane LeBaron Golf Instruction

Shane is the son of a PGA Professional (Dale Hardy). He grew up and fell in love with the game at an early age. During high school Shane was part of the Lincoln East (Lincoln, Nebraska) Spartans, three time state championship golf team. Shane then attended Methodist College in Fayetteville, North Carolina.



After college Shane began to play mini-tour golf and discovered he enjoyed teaching the game, rather than playing. He soon began turning his free time and attention to fellow players needing swing advice.

Shane was hired as an assistant golf professional at Blue Hills Country Club in Kansas City, Missouri where he was introduced to PGA Hall of Fame Instructor, Stan Thirsk, who helped Shane begin his career in golf instruction. Shane continued his career at Shadow Glen-The Golf Club, in Olathe, Kansas where he became the Lead Instructor providing individual instruction, clinics, and junior golf programs.

In 2002, Shane moved to the Hilton Head/ Bluffton area and worked for the highly respected Heidi Wright (PGA) at Moss Creek Golf Club. The members of Moss Creek and the surrounding area began to fill up Shane's lesson book. In 2006, Shane accepted a position at Belfair Golf Club to be the Teaching Professional. While his clientele continued to grow strong, Shane was able to fulfill his dream of becoming Shane LeBaron Golf.

Golf at Moss Creek is some of the finest in all of the Low Country, with its two championship courses, Devils Elbow South and Devils Elbow North. Both courses were Fazio-designed more than 30 years ago, with the intention of making the game challenging for the low handicap golfers as well as fair and playable to the higher handicap golfers.

Both of these courses are truly hidden treasurers. There is a real beauty to each of them as you ride or walk down the fairways. Each course is lined with magnificent oak trees and tall airy pines, with strategically-placed sand traps, large ponds and water tributaries, and last but not least are the salt marshes which change twice daily with the tides. All this beauty, and there is still more! While you are playing your round of golf you may see alligators sunning on the banks, or you might spot an egret or hawk, or even an eagle swooping down to snatch a fish out of one of the many ponds, and on occasion you could see a family of wild turkeys scampering across a fairway trying to avoid a barrage of tee shots coming down on them.
